Hazelden Betty Ford
Beginning in 1949, at a picturesque lakeside retreat near Center City, MN, the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s earliest clinicians developed the addiction treatment approach most widely used in the world today—originally known as the Minnesota Model of care. Combining expert medical care with then-emerging Twelve Step mutual support practices, alcohol and drug addiction treatment at the pioneering Hazelden facility was, above all, provided with empathy and respect.

My Sober Roommate
We created MySoberRoommate to help people. One of MSR’s founders, a therapist working in addiction recovery, watched many of his clients struggle and grow frustrated trying to find sober roommates. Surprisingly, we couldn’t find a roommate matching service for people committed to living a clean lifestyle that also protected their personal information. Thus, MSR was born!
